Web content and marketing copy is just as important to my writing practice as essays and interviews. I love getting to the heart of what makes my clients’ work special and using that guiding principle to drive all their communications. 

I’ve written about topics from cannabis to fundraising to fitness, but no matter what I take a results-focused approach, constantly adjusting my strategy to deliver creative, polished content that’s as high-performing as possible. 

While I’ll always be a writer first and designer second, my arts-industry experience means I have an eye for aesthetics, and I absolutely love selecting visual content that fits your brand.

BAF isn’t a client – I work there full time as Program Manager. BAF is a nonprofit visual arts organization that focuses on large-scale public art projects and exhibitions in their Mount Pleasant art gallery. I have built BAF’s communications strategy from the ground up, including all social media, website content, blog and e-newsletter strategy, media outreach, and more.

Stories are built into FundRazr’s mission. Since 2017, I’ve been sharing inspiring stories of the people that use this online crowdfunding platform to make the world a better place, from fighting racism to opening animal shelters to providing medical care to disadvantaged children.

FundRazr is tailored to nonprofit organizations, with powerful campaign features that set them apart from competitors like GoFundMe. Some of their content, like blog posts and e-books, is directed at these nonprofit customers, educating them on how to make the most of the platform. My goal is to make this technical content high-impact and accessible, telling a story about why clients should use these features, and how doing so will benefit their organization. 

I also manage FundRazr’s social media, focusing on their 126,000-follower Facebook page as well as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter. Social is the perfect place to highlight inspiring success stories from their platform, complemented with expert crowdfunding tips and easily shareable quotes that resonate with their audience.

Vonigo / Narrate Creative (2019–2020)

I worked on these SEO-optimized blog posts with Jordan Behan at Narrate Creative, a growth marketing firm that tells software companies’ stories through automation, strategy, and content creation. The client was Vonigo, a business management software for service companies. They needed copy that would help them rank for dry, technical search terms like “tile and grout cleaning machines for sale” and “cleaning business licenses”. 

With a little creativity, I crafted engaging stories that spoke directly to their target audience – a service business owner looking to grow their company. I catered to their unique needs by including valuable information and using accessible, conversational language. By focusing on the story behind the search terms, I wrote the copy that Vonigo needed to meet their goals.
